Why we shouldn't fear our future of technology

Why we shouldn't fear our future of technology I read an article called "Why we shouldn't fear where technology is headed" and it did in fact mention where it's headed, but why we should be optimistic, and positive about it. I strongly believe that we can use technology in the correct way, but we definitely need to be careful about it. Dr. Nguyen used some personal experience that he had with a friend by the name of Riley, Riley had Cerebral Palsy, but learned how to drive a car with his mind. This was possible with developing some sort of brain machine interface, and a ton of perseverance. This was a huge step in the right direction for many kids with all kinds of disabilities. If we keep going in the right direction with positive technology then the world will be a much happier place in many different aspects. We aren't really sure when new technology is coming out for sure, because you want to get it right the first time around, and it does take ti...

Positive and Negative effects of social media

Positive and Negative effects of social media With the 21st century comes a lot of technology, and to be even more specific, social media. With this comes positive and negative effects on yourself, and others around you and across the globe. I listened to 3 ted talks that all mentioned social media in one way or another, in which they either talked about the benefits, or disadvantages of social media, and what its doing to us and our future generation. One of the ted talks even mentioned that we don't need social media to hear about the news around the world, and stay connected with people.   The first Ted Talk I listened to was called ̈We ́re building a dystopia just to make people click on ads¨ talked about when you search for an item on google for say, and you ́re looking to buy it, it´ll pop up on different websites to try and sell it to you and get your attention. Or even better, if you ́re watching videos on a specific topic, it ́ll suggest something similar to wh...

5G Network, how good is it, benefits, and when it's coming out?

5G Network, is it that much better than 3G, and all the benefits I read an article that took place in New Hampshire, it was about the preparation for 5G in cities, and around New Hampshire in general. It mentioned where we could put these small 3 cubic feet boxes, and it said that they could go on light posts, flag poles, and sides of building to get better coverage in areas that maybe aren't as speedy. In comparison to the cell towers we have now, they are way smaller, a cell tower can range from 100-200 feet tall. Why do we need these little cell towers? well I believe with growing technology, and all the advancements that are being made each and everyday, this would benefit us severely in the way where we can produce even more. By this I mean if we have a faster internet base, we can do more with it, and rely on these cell towers more depending on where we live in the world etc. This technology has already been tested throughout 2018, but it's supposedly coming out at...
Automation and Job Losses, how we can fix it? In the article "Top 6 fears about future technology" it mentions how by 2030, nearly 70 million people could end up losing their job to automation. We're coming out with more and more high tech inventions that'll make jobs easier, which is good and bad, for some industries. For example taxi drivers will be heavily affected as self driving cars are becoming more popular each and every day, which will take away from them and their work. With becoming a taxi driver, you really don't need any degree or secondary degree, you really just need some communication skills, and decision making abilities to make your job easier. You also would need to get your drivers licence which is obvious, but the rules differ depending on the state. Looking back on the self driving cars, like Tesla. Many companies are planning on coming out with self driving cars by 2021, or that's at least what BMW, and Ford said, which will take...
